We had a good time @ Fly Chewelah week! Visiting pilots from as far away as New Hampshire. The Reserve Chute Repack Clinic went well and so did the First Aid / CPR course at Stevens County Fire District 4's Station in Valley, WA. MASA will now be working with the Valley Station to jointly conduct a Tree Rescue clinic. Stay tuned for a date this summer.
The flying ended in the Chewelah area Saturday, June 13th when the wind switched NE for the last weekend. Time to find a NE site in the Chewelah area (working on one).
For camping in the Chewelah area we were able to camp in Valley (1 mile S of the Inklers Point LZ) at the Valley Station Square Park: https://youtu.be/Pbq-0G6eP04
Costs for camping here were $10/day for Tents and $15/day for RVs. Thank you Terry Wilks for working with us on this camping arrangement. We had a good time at the BBQ there Friday evening 🙂
